PURPOSE: A method for writing additional information at an optical disk is provided to write additional information while utilizing unused subchannel areas of a PMA, thereby reducing a waste of disk space, satisfying the need of a user, and enabling the user to obtain more detail information related to predetermined information recorded at the optical disk. CONSTITUTION: A method for writing additional information at an optical disk includes the steps of loading a rewritable optical disk into an optical writing and reading system(S300), receiving an additional information writing command from a user(S310), moving a pickup to a PMA(Program Memory Area) by controlling a pickup driving part(S320), and writing the additional information by irradiating a predetermined laser beam to subchannel areas of the PMA(S330).
