PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which does not cause bleeding and offsetting with respect to a plain recording paper, excels in water resistance, light resistance, and fretting resistance, and enables high quality recording with a high color density (high resolution and high chroma). SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises a colorant composed of a pseudo- one-dimensionally crystallizable color organic pigment having a diffracted wave showing a maximum intensity and its n-th order diffracted wave (wherein n is an integer of >=2) as the major peaks in the X-ray diffraction spectrum, a water-soluble organic solvent, a surface active agent, and a water-soluble resin. |
