METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING STEEL PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing a steel plate capable of preventing the generation of surface flaws in various thick steel plates without lowering heating and rolling efficiency. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the steel plate is characterized in that the steel plate is manufactured through a hot charging process wherein a continuously cast slab is charged into a heating furnace 4 in a high temperature condition and then hot-rolled. A cooling system 2 is installed in the entrance side of the heating furnace 4 and the slab is compulsorily cooled with the cooling system 2 and is charged into the heating furnace 4 after ferrite transformation of the slab surface.
