PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost cleaning, sterilizing and antibacterial device for a moving belt of an escalator or moving walk to be easily maintained by utilizing the rotation force of the moving belt of the escalator or moving walk without using a special drive means. SOLUTION: A loop-type sterilizing, antibacterial belt 2, whose end part 21 opposite from a rotary roller 1 is soaked in a sterilizing antibacterial liquid 3, is suspended on the rotary roller 1 rotating in the same direction as the moving belt 10 of the escalator or moving walk for applying the sterilization/ antibacterial treatment to the surface of the moving belt of the escalator or moving walk. In addition, a rotary brush 4 is also mounted in the device, and the surface of the moving belt 10 of the escalator or moving walk is cleaned by the rotary brush 4. The rotary brush 4 is rotated in the opposite direction from the rotation direction of the moving belt 10 of the escalator or moving walk by a synchronizing means with the rotary roller 1, and can be brought into contact with the moving belt 10 opposite from each other.
