PURPOSE: A motor of an electric power steering system is provided to prevent clearance between a plate and a worm shaft, and to reduce vibration and noise by modifying a torque limiter with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A motor device for an electric power steering system is composed of a rotor(131) combined with a motor shaft(111); a plate(132) combined with the end of a worm shaft(121); two splines(140,150) engaged with the worm shaft and the plate; a housing(133) moving axially with covering the rotor and the plate; a wave washer(134) supporting the plate for the rotor; a friction member(137) contacted between the rotor and the plate; a slot(160) formed in the end of the worm shaft inserted to the plate; a pressure cam(170) inserted to the plate and the slot; a spring(180) supporting the pressure cam; and a fixing ring(190) supporting the spring. Clearance between the plate and the worm shaft is prevented by modifying the torque limiter, and vibration and noise are reduced.
