PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part protection air bag device capable of quickly developing and inflating an air bag along a car interior wall composed of a windowpane and the like, even when a clearance between the car interior wall and an occupant is narrow. SOLUTION: This head part protection air bag device is provided with the air bag 11 accommodated in a folded state at an upper edge side of a window at a car interior side of a vehicle, and developed to cover the car interior side of the window when an inflation gas flows. An upper edge 12a side of the air bag 11 is formed as an upstream side part 17 of the inflating gas, and a lower edge 12b side is formed as a downstream side part 18 of the inflating gas, the lower edge 12b side is folded into two and located on the lower edge 12b side at a car exterior side of the upper edge 12a side from a condition of a car interior wall part 13a and a car exterior wall part 13b overlapped in flat, and then the lower end 33b side folded into two, is folded vertically zigzag to be close to an upper end 33a side, to be accommodated at the upper edge side of the window. |
