PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process and form an inequilateral groove by laser. SOLUTION: In the laser processing apparatus for the light guide plate 1 made of a resin, the light guide plate 1 made of the resin is irradiated with laser beam 3 from a direction oblique with respect to the axial line 2 crossing the light guide plate 1 made of a resin at a light angle to form the inequilateral groove 4 to the light guide plate 1. A rotary mirror 5 on which the laser beam 3 is insident is provided on the axial line 2 crossing the light guide plate 1 made of a resin at a light angle so as to be movable in a two-dimensional direction and a lens 6 permitting the laser beam 3 reflected from the rotary mirror 5 to transmit is provided and, the rotary mirror 5 and the lens 6 can irradiate the light guide plate 1 with laser beam 3 obliquely with respect to the axial line 2 crossing the light guide plate 1 at a right angle.
