PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a widening apparatus for the width of a pallet truck wherein opposite ends of an existing sintering machine pallet truck are widened by a simple refinement for installation to increase a hearth area, and an air passage is formed at the widened portion to suppress the occurrence of a non- sintered portion and hence increase productivity of sintered mineral. SOLUTION: A widening apparatus for the width of a sintering machine pallet truck is a widening apparatus for the width of a lower suction type sintering pallet truck equipped with an insulation piece 14, and it comprises a widening flat plate 16 disposed horizontally on a side wall 1 of the pallet truck, a blind plate 8 disposed demountably on the widening fat plate, and a side wall 4 disposed on the widening flat plate adjoining the outside of the blind plate, and further the blind plate upper portion is held by pressing it with the insulation piece.
