PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle capable of preventing the deformation of a head rest support member supporting a head rest even if a load is applied to the head rest only. SOLUTION: A long through-hole 29 which is long in the forward and backward directions and uses a support position of the head rest when secondary collision occurs as a rear limit and a support position when a load is applied to the head rest only as a front limit is formed in an upper face part 7a of the head rest support member 7. A seat back frame 5 is provided with a stopper means 24 fixed through the through-hole 29 of the head rest support member 7 and preventing the movement of the head rest support member 7 by a predetermined distance or more.
