PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a rigid paper tube to be formed without applying a load to a belt. SOLUTION: A paper tube manufacturing apparatus comprises a drive gear 32 provided in a slide block S movable in a direction perpendicular to an axis of a mandrel 3 on a base 1, a fixed roller 10 mounted at a protruding part of the block S from a top plate S3 at one (34) of two sets of driven gears engaged with an intermediate gear 33, a longitudinal tub-like frame 21 laterally symmetrically rotatable around a rotary shaft 33p of the gear 33 mounted at a part protruding part of the shaft 33p from the top plate of the block S, and a movable roller 20 mounted at the protruding part of a vertical shaft 23p of a bevel gear 23 of the box 22 arranged in the frame 21 from the top plate of the box 22 in such a manner that the box 22 is movable in the longitudinal direction of the frame 21 by feeding threads 25. The rollers 10 and 20 on which a belt is engaged, are operated via such a gear transmission mechanism 30.
