PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely process to replace a font in printing data stored to a storage with incorporated font resources of the printer side without sending printing data again from the host side. SOLUTION: Printing data stored to the storage 103 is analyzed, and information on the font required in the printing data is extracted by a controller 106. The extracted font information is stored to the storage 103. A font replacement table 110 is held for replacing the font used in the printing data with an incorporated font 111 with reference to the font information stored in the storage 103. A printing process is carried out by replacing the font in the printing data stored in the storage 103 with the printable incorporated font 111 on the basis of the first replacement table.
