PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a percussion device with a silencer, by which noise pollution and an adverse effect on a worker are relaxed effectively. SOLUTION: In the silencer for the percussion device, a hammer 17 reciprocated in a fixed stroke and a shank rod 3 receiving the percussion force of a hammer proceeding and proceeding and returning by the reaction of a device pushing in the percussion direction are housed in a cylinder chamber 20 under a liquid-tight state, and a housing space A for a liquid is formed in the cylinder chamber 20 between the hammer 17 and the shank rod 3. In the silencer, lines B in which the liquid is circulated and supplied are connected to the housing space A, a line closing means changing over the lines B under a closed state is mounted, the lines B are closed before the hammer 17 percusses the shank rod 3, and a liquid-tight chamber C is constituted between the hammer 17 and the shank rod 3.
