PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant epoxy resin composition capable of exhibiting excellent flame-retardant effects even by a halogen-free flame- retardant recipe instead of a flame retardant recipe using a halogen, capable of providing a molded product having excellent properties of heat resistance and moisture resistance, and further having excellent adhesion. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant epoxy resin composition consists essentially of (I) an epoxy resin having an oxazolidone ring, (II) a phosphorus-modified epoxy resin obtained by reacting (A1 ) an epoxy resin with (B) a phosphine compound having an aromatic group on the phosphorus atom, and (III) a curing agent.
