PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ligand for bonding bacteriotoxin and a new system that acts on or prevents the septic shock having the fear caused by bacteriotoxin. SOLUTION: This is a ligand relating to the bacteriotoxin, particularly enterotoxin or exotoxin of the gram-positive bacteria and can selectively interact to the structure bearing the amino acid sequence preserved in the bacteriotoxin. This invention additionally provides an adsorbent showing the ligand bonded to the matrix, an adsorption apparatus for reducing the concentration of bacteriotoxin in blood or plasma and a pharmaceutical composition that includes the ligand and is particularly suitable for treatment and/or prophylaxis of gram- positive septic shock.
