The vehicle door has a lower door element and a door frame. The frame has a horizontal frame part at the height of a window edge, acting as an inner window shaft reinforcement. There is also a lower frame provided. The part of the door frame below the breast of the window has a carrier plate connected to the frame part. The lower door element (2) comprises a profiled, one part carrier frame with side, upper and lower carrier frame profiles (6,7,8,9). On one side the carrier frame is connected to the outer door panel (5) and on the other side to the carrier plate (17). An outer window shaft reinforcement is integrated into the upper horizontal frame profile and this lies opposite the inner reinforcement (18). |
