Disclosed is a device for axial shift of forme cylinder of a printing machine being provided with a device for preparing a printing plate using direct-to-press digital technology wherein the device is located on the forme cylinder pin opposite to that of the central drive driving wheel and an auxiliary driving unit. At the end portion of the pin (2), there is rotatably mounted a guide screw (8) with delimited axial clearance that is ensured by a safety nut (7). By outside thread, said guide screw is screwed in a fixed nut (6), and by a centering diameter, it is mounted in a guide plate (5). Both the fixed nut (6) and the guide plate (5) are situated at a fixed distance from the printing unit side plate.
