The proposed method for fast moving contacts of a switching unit consists in changing the position of the spring by applying force to the spring on both the sides. The proposed device for the realization of the method contains a casing, a movable contact, a fixed contact, an actuator for the movable contact, a leaf spring with locks, and pushers arranged on both the sides of the spring. The spring is coupled with the movable contact via a link made of insulating material. The pushers are coupled with the actuator for the movable contact.
