<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and instantaneously fuse a disconnection detection member 15 with the laser beam emitted from a breaking part of an optical fiber 3, and to prevent the sagging of the fused part to make it possible to detect a breaking of the optical fiber 3 with good reliability, in a laser guide 1 for detecting the breaking of the optical fiber 3 by fusing the optical fiber 3 with the laser beam emitted from the breaking part at the time of breaking of the optical fiber 3. SOLUTION: A cover member 20 covers the optical fiber 3 and the disconnection detection member 15 over the almost total length thereof, so that the optical fiber 3 and the disconnection detection member 15 integrally and almost closely come into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 9 of the optical fiber 3. This cover member 20 is collectively extruded along with the optical fiber 3 and the disconnection detection member 15 to be molded. Even if the breaking part of the optical fiber 3 is not specific, the emitted laser beam is applied to the disconnection detection member 15 present at the breaking part of the optical fiber 3 to rapidly stop the oscillation operation of a laser oscillator.</p> |
