PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a compressor capable of varying the quantity of a circulating refrigerant from compressors 1a, 1b in multiple stages in response to capacity of required compressor. SOLUTION: A large diameter part 11a and a small diameter part 11b are provided in a pulley 11. A belt 13a for a large diameter which transmits torque of the large diameter part 11a and a belt 13b for a small diameter which transmits torque of the small diameter part 11b are stretched around a first compressor 1a and a second compressor 1b. Electromagnetic clutches 12a, 12c are provided in the first compressor 1a. Electromagnetic clutches 12b, 12d are provided in the second compressor 1b. The electromagnetic clutches 12a, 12b for a large diameter and the electromagnetic clutches 12c, 12d for a small diameter transmits or shut off the torque transmitted from the belts 13a, 13b. Therefore the quantity of a circulating refrigerant from the compressors 1a, 1b can be variably controlled in multiple stages by the combination in response to capacity of required compressor.
