PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing device and its assembling method capable of reducing a preload imparted once. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing device 10 is provided with a shaft 18 having a cylindrical outer peripheral face and a plurality of rolling bearings 11. The plurality of rolling bearings 11 are fitted to the shaft 18 with an axial specified interval and held on it and interposed bodies 15a lying between rolling bearings 11. A member 20 for imparting a preload is pressed in from the side opposite to the side where the interposed body 15a is arranged, in the first rolling bearing 11 held at the axial end side of the shaft 18 and the first rolling bearing 11 is pushed toward the second rolling bearing 11 adjacent to the first rolling bearing. The member 20 imparting a preload is provided with a preload reduction means 21 used for transferring the member from the first rolling bearing 11 to the separating direction.
