MOBILE-PHASE GRADIENT DEVICE AND HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPH USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a mobile phase required for the gradient analysis of a sample by eliminating a time delay in a mixer. SOLUTION: A gradient tube 4 is connected to a six-way valve 2, and mobile phases whose compositions have been prepared so as to be supplied are housed in the gradient tube 4 in the order of their supply. The mobile phases from a pump P1 and a pump P2 are fed while their phases are being changed so as to be filled into the gradient tube 4. The sample is injected by an autosampler 8, a valve 2 is turned, and the mobile phases in the gradient tube 4 are fed into a separation column 10. In the separation column 10, the gradient analysis of the sample is performed.
