PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for supplying a ream of paper to be transferred to a correct position without damage. SOLUTION: The ream of the paper 3 is fed at least by two conveyors 5 and 6 connected to each other at a transfer station 7 and arranged in series. At least the first conveyor 5 is an endless conveyor having at least one of a pusher 17. The first conveyor 5 travels at a first speed V1 and supplies the ream of the paper to the transfer station 7. The ream of the paper is accelerated to a second speed V3 faster than the first speed V1. The ream of the paper separates from the pusher in a distance equal to or more than a height of the pusher 17 before separating from the first conveyor.
