PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container capable of packaging a photosensitive drum without giving any flaw to its photosensitive portion. SOLUTION: A packaging container 1 contains a sheet-like lower container 2 and a sheet-like upper container 3 both separable at a separating surface 9. The photosensitive drum 4 is housed in a housing space 7 formed by combining a concave portion 5 formed in the lower container 2 and a concave portion 6 formed in the upper container 3. The lower container 2 and the upper container 3 project inwardly at a portion opposing to a supported portion 10 of the edge portion of the photosensitive drum 4 to form a supporting portion 13. The lower container 2 and the upper container 3 project inwardly at a portion opposing to a gear 11 mounted at the edge of the photosensitive drum 4 to form a supporting portion 14. Each of the lower container 2 and the upper container 3 is equipped with a projection 15 at a portion where the supporting portion 14 is adjacent to the gear 11.
