PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vulcanizable rubber composition capable of producing a molded product which is allowed to have a lighter weight and also to have excellent strength characteristics, appearance, sealing properties (against water and dust) and workability. SOLUTION: The vulcanizable rubber composition which is characterized in that, the vulcanized rubber product obtained by vulcanizing it at 200 deg.C for 6 minutes under atmospheric pressure, has specific gravity of 0.1-0.4, water absorption of 0.01-240%, tensile strength of 0.1-10 MPa and tensile elongation at break of 10-1,000% satisfying the formula, (water absorption + 800×specific gravity < 240), and this uses are provided.
