PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand/earth removing device capable of exhausting the sand, earth, etc., including lumps and cord-shaped objects at the site of dredging, civil engineering works, in a sewerage treating plant, a sedimentation basin in a factory, in a pit or manhole, etc., to any desired place while the sand, earth, etc., including lumps and cord-shaped objects is diluted with water. SOLUTION: The sand/earth removing device is composed of an impeller casing 16 furnished internally with an impeller 17 driven by a motor 18 and with a suction opening 13 in the center of the undersurface and a cylindrical member with the top formed in continuity to the lower part of the impeller casing 16 and the bottom left open and is equipped with a circumferential wall 20 for preventing the sand, earth, etc., from collapsing and inflowing forming internally a water sump space 19 and a suction pipe 27 with the top opening open underwater above the sand/earth deposit level B and the other opening coupled with the water sump space 19 to generate communication.
