PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the manufacturing cost of a write-once/ read-many optical recording medium such as CD-R or DVD-R which is known as an optical recording medium is high and therefore, a WO recording medium is newly developed as an alternative to overcome the cost issue but with shortcomings such as low reflectance and low C/N and provide this optical recording medium as a solution of the problems. SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium consisting of a single recording layer 2 formed on a transparent substrate 1, the recording layer 2 is an alloy film composed mainly of Ga and Te and the atomic number ratio of Ga and Te falls within the range of 25:75 to 10:90. |
