PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for an optical device with high rigidity that can be driven with high sensitivity in two directions, that are a focus direction of crossing the optical device orthogonally and a tracking direction. SOLUTION: This actuator for an optical device, which drivably supports a lens 100 in the two directions that are the orthogonally crossing focus direction and the tracking direction, is provided with a holder 110 for holding the lens 100, a focus coil 131 (134) and tracking coils 132 and 133 (135 and 136) attached to a mounting face 111 (112) of the holder 110, a first magnetic pole 151a (152a) without a yoke for directing a shared magnetic flux to the upper side 131a (134a) of the focus coil and the inner sides 132a and 133a (135a and 136a) of the tracking coils overlapping on each other, and a second magnetic pole 151d (151e) with an inner yoke 141c (141d) for directing a magnetic flux to the lower side 131b (134b) of the focus coil.
