PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact X-ray image detector in which no auxiliary member is required at the joint of an enclosure and an input cover and the weight can be reduced. SOLUTION: At the joint of the enclosure 3 and the input cover 2 of an inventive X-ray image tube 1, metallized joint face 31a of the enclosure is bonded to the joint face 22a of an input cover flange 22 through a joint material 8 composed of In or an In alloy such that vacuum can be sustained.
