PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of effectively inspecting a battery power supply type instrument. SOLUTION: In a battery container section 13 of the battery power supply type instrument 1 there are provided electricity reception sections 14, 15 for power supply voltage, and an instrument side communication terminal 16. An inspection apparatus 28 includes in the battery container section 13 a mounting structure 29 and an inspector body 31 both being demountable, and there are provided in the mounting structure 29 power supply sections 32, 34, and an inspector side communication terminal 33 in conduction with the electricity reception sections 14, 15 and the instrument side communication terminal 16 upon mounting to the battery container section 13. In the inspector body 31 there are provided a microcomputer 30 for communicating with an electronic circuit unit 20 of the battery power supply type instrument 1, and a DC power supply 35 for applying power supply voltage to the power supply sections 32, 34 of the mounting structure 29.
