[Also in Division H2] An arrangement for sequentially controlling a number of jacks V on, say, a machine comprises a cam 9 operating on a number of radially arranged spring-loaded rod-operated contact sets a 1 -# 1 . In the position shown, electromagnet E 1 lifts piston T 1 to drive the jack piston downwards, closing a switch H2 at the end of its travel. This energizes through a relay S 2 , k 2 another valve E 2 , T 2 which returns the jack piston to its original position, closing another switch H 1 which through contacts e 1 energizes an electromagnet 5 lifting the rod 1 which closes contacts a 1 thus energizing a cam driving motor M which moves the cam to the next position. Locks are provided to cut out any unwanted operation.</p> |
