<p>The present invention relates to a sewing machine thread cutter in which a sewing end position for thread (51, 52) cutting to form a seam is transferable in a predetermined range in the direction of a straight line. The thread cutter of the present invention comprises an upper knife (301) including a blade (301c), and a lower knife (302) including a blade (302b). The lower knife (302) is mounted rotatably on a shaft (316) and for securing the movement of the lower knife (302) blade (302b) between a stand-by position and a cutting position. The length of the lower knife (302) blade (302b) is opposite all over the transfer range of the end sewing position. The upper knife (301) is mounted for rotation of the upper knife (301) blade (301c) from a stand-by position to cutting position during its movement in the direction of a straight line within the transfer range of the end sewing position.</p> |
