METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING MOBILE STATION IN RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for discriminating a mobile station in a radio communication system is provided to supply and set information necessary to set an identification of the mobile station from other layer to an MAC layer. CONSTITUTION: An RLC layer receives an RLC SDU and a message type indicator(61). The RLC layer confirms the message type indicator(62). The RLC layer judges which it uses a U-MMRNTI or an MMC-RNTI, and sets a mobile station identification indicator(63). The RLC layer transmits the mobile station identification indicator together with the RLC SDU to an MAC layer(65). In steps 62, 63, and 64, since the RLC layer performs a division and reassembling of the RLC SDU, messages more than two form one RLC PDU and a plurality of RLC PDUs form one message. The mobile station identification indicator is set so that a header of MAC PDU is formed using U-RNTI.
