PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain colored resin fine particles having waterproof property, weather resistance and scratch resistance, further giving an image having a high color-developing property, excellent in dispersion stability and useful as a coloring material of an ink. SOLUTION: A method for producing an aqueous colored resin fine particle dispersion is characterized by comprising (i) a process of performing a phase- transition emulsification of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer, a coloring agent, an emulsifying agent and a polymerization initiator in an aqueous medium by using a mixer used for a high viscosity coating material and (ii) a process of polymerizing the above polymerizable unsaturated monomer.
