PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a rate of generating a crack in a ceramic of silica-alumina- barium oxide based low temperature fired ceramic in which a cristobalite phase is precipitated. SOLUTION: The low temperature fired ceramic of this invention contains a sanbornite phase, a celsian phase and a β-cristobalite phase as crystal phases, when measured with a high power X ray diffractometer, and ratio of peak intensity of the (101) face of α-cristobalite phase to the peak intensity of the (101) face of the sanbornite phase is <=5%. |
