PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module and a light transmission system for suppressing noise caused by a reflected and returned light from a transmission line. SOLUTION: In the semiconductor laser module which is provided with a semiconductor laser chip 2 outputting a light beam, a lens 6 which is designed so as to couple the light beam outputted from the semiconductor laser chip 2 to a light transmission line 5, an optical isolator 7 which is provided between the lens 6 and the window 4 of a package 1 and a temperature control mechanism 10 for keeping temperatures of respective members constant in the inside of the package 1 having the window 4 and, moreover, is provided with a pipe shaped ferrule 12 which holds the light transmission line 5 like cover it, a polarizer 15 is provided at the end face of the side of the package 1 of the ferrule 12 so as to coincide with the plane of polarization of the light beam to be emitted from the window 4 of the package 1. |
