PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the unitication of cut sizes of flat rice cakes 32. SOLUTION: A rice cake feeding mechanism is provided with a pushing carrier 24 pushing a bottom surface 34a which is erected from a mount surface 35 facing to a rice cake carrier surface 6 by a carrier bottom part 34 in an opposite side to a carrier head part 33 in the side of a carrying direction XF out of both sides in the carrier direction X of a flat rice cake mounted on the rice cake carrier surface 6. The flat rice cake 32 is intermittently carried towards a cutting edge 13 of a cutting mechanism by the pushing carrier 24 and sequentially cut from the side of the carrier head part 33 by the cutting edge 13. The flat rice cake 32 is cut with its bottom surface 34a pushed by the pushing carrier 24 and moved on the rice cake carrier surface 6 so as to be surely moved by a moving distance S of the pushing carrier 24 irrelevant to the sliding between the rice cake carrier surface 6 and the flat rice cake 32.
