PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control device for a combustion instrument in which standby electric power consumed during the interruption of an operation is reduced without complicating a circuit construction. SOLUTION: A power supply transformer opening/closing switch is provided between a primary side of a power supply transformer and a power supply, which switch is opened and closed in a predetermined period during the interruption of the operation to suppress electric power consumption in the power supply transformer. For the power supply transformer opening/closing switch a semiconductor relay for a b contact that is closed during no supply of electric power is employed, so that electric power can be supplied to the power supply transformer upon turning-on of the power supply even though a circuit for closing the switch is assembled separately. |
