In an article vending machine, e.g. of ice cream in cups, the cup is filled and brought through a delivery opening to an access point for the customer by e.g. an automatic grab 2 actuated by a weighing device 16 balancing the filled cup and operating a switch and which releases the cup on engaging an abutment 17 and then returns back through the delivery opening. The customer then opens an access door 4 which automatically closes a delivery opening door 5. In the embodiment shown the doors are vertically movable shutters interconnected by a pulley system 6. In a second embodiment a transparent cylinder is rotated to open and close the openings so that the cup, initially behind abutment pins, appears in front of the pins for removal.</p> |
