PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and driving method therefor, capable of obtaining a uniform brightness characteristic over the whole screen by being compensated for difference in brightness due to a decrease in charge caused to each pixel row, and capable of improving display quality. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprising an LCD panel 1 which includes gate lines, data lines insulated from the gate lines and crossing them, and a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form having switching elements formed at the crossing areas of the data line and the gate lines and connected with respective gate lines and data lines, and of which the pixels are inverted in polarity in the units of two or more pixel rows, a data driving part 3 for supplying gradation voltages corresponding to the data lines, and a scan driving part 2 for supplying gate voltages of mutually different levels to gate lines adjacent to each other.
