PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the strength of the side of a vehicle body against impact applied to the side of the vehicle body in side impact by forming an opening having no large partition on the side of the vehicle body during opening a door. SOLUTION: Side impact bars 21, 31 are firmly mounted on door inner panels 6a, 7a inside a front door 6 and a rear door panel 7 to secure the strength of the side of the vehicle body against impact applied to the side of the vehicle body. The front end of the front side impact bar 21 is located higher than the rear end thereof and the rear end of the rear side impact bar 31 is located higher than the front end thereof, and the rear end of the front side impact bar 21 is located in proximity to the front end of the rear side impact bar and the front end of the front side impact bar 21 is located to be almost the same in height as the rear end of the rear side impact bar 31.
