PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use one mold clamping mechanism in common by a plurality of molds to enable the multi-cavity molding of a molded article and to reduce the equipment cost of a blow molding apparatus. SOLUTION: The blow molding apparatus is constituted of one mold clamping mechanism 11, a plurality of molds (first and second molds 30A and 30B), a mold opening preventing mechanism 33 for holding the molds themselves to a mold clamping state separately from the mold clamping mechanism 11, a mold moving mechanism 12 for selectively allowing a plurality of the molds to face to the mold clamping mechanism 11 and a parison supplying/blowing mechanism 13 for supplying a parison to the mold set in the mold clamping mechanism 11 to blow air in the parison to internally pressurize the same.
