PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device for a printer to absorb vibration generated during printing by a printer and a personal computer rack with the base isolation device. SOLUTION: The base isolation device for a printer comprises a base plate 10; a slide plate 20 for placing a printer held on the base plate 10 and reciprocatingly movable in a horizontal direction from a reference position on the base plate 10; and a vibration absorbing spring body 30 located between the base plate 10 and the slide plate 20 for placing a printer and deformed due to movement of the slide plate 20 for placing a printer and effecting energization such that the slide plate 20 for placing a printer is returned to a standard position.
