PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well perform automatic packaging regardless of properties and conditions of an article to be packaged and a film. SOLUTION: An article storing part 41 into which an article to be packaged 11 are inserted from the top of a film sheet f is formed on a conveyor 33 and the edge part of the film sheet f is extended out of the article storing part under a condition where the article to be packaged 11 is stored. A wringing means 59 is provided with four wringing members 60, 60, 60 and 61 being horizontally turnable. To meet with a timing when the article storing part 41 in which the article to be packaged 11 is stored reaches a specified position, the wringing members 60, 60, 60 and 61 are lowered to a film wringing position being close to the top face of the conveyor 33. Then, by horizontally turning each of the wringing members 60, 60, 60 and 60 by shifting the timing in the adjoining order, the edge part of the film can be wrung along the top face of the article to be packaged 11.
