<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for a data processing operation wherein a processing means using an approximate expression used to find Young's modulus of a sheet of paper is provided and to provide a recording medium in which its process is stored as a program. SOLUTION: A computer simulation method, in which the deformation of the sheet of paper inside a paper conveyance device is estimated, includes a computing means wherein the thickness and the density o the sheet of paper with reference to the relative humidity in the usage atmosphere of the sheet of paper and the value of Young's modulus of the sheet of paper are measured in a total of three points or more including at least one point at a relative humidity of 40%RH or less and at least two points at a relative humidity of 40%RH or higher, their measured values are used, an approximate expression which approximates a function which uses the thickness, the density and Young's modulus of the sheet of paper respectively as dependent variables is found by using second degree or higher degree polynominal having relative humidity as independent variables, and a computer simulation is performed by using the approximate expression.</p> |
