PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diluting device for a liquid to be diluted, by which the dilution ratio can be set arbitrarily with satisfactory accuracy and which can be used continuously and suitably for an analyzer for liquid or the like. SOLUTION: The diluting device is constituted of a pump which comprises a suction function, a flow-channel changeover means which is installed at a pipeline making a sucked liquid for dilution existing on the suction side of the pump flow and which comprises at least two branch ports, a stirring tank which is situated on the downstream side of the pump and a flow-channel changeover control part. The liquid to be diluted and a diluting medium are continuously introduced alternately into the pipeline by the flow-channel changeover means, and a prescribed dilution ratio is obtained.
