PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an apparatus as the whole and reduce its cost by miniaturizing a head section in a scanning colorimeter. SOLUTION: The colorimeter comprises a measurement head 3 that is provided at the measurement position of each color patch 61 that is relatively scanned to a color chart 6 where a plurality of color patches 61 are arranged for taking out illumination light concerned (reference light) and reflection light (measurement light) from the color patch 61 by illuminating the color patch 61 to be measured, a colorimetry processing section 4 for performing the operation processing of spectral characteristics from reference light and measurement light, and a flat cable 5 for guiding reference light and measurement light that are detected by the colorimetry head 3 to the colorimetry processing section 4. By separating a section for measuring and calculating spectral characteristics using colorimetry light and reference light from a section for taking out colorimetry light and reference light for measurement by illuminating a measurement target, the colorimetry head 3 can be miniaturized, the weight is reduced, and the load on its scanning member is reduced.
