PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a light guide plate 40 from coming into contact with a shaft and blocking its rotation due to thermal shrinkage of the plate 40 in a combination meter 1 being a pointer instrument. SOLUTION: Each of light guides 41, 42, 43 has two sets of projections 41b, 42b, 43b corresponding to one guide for positioning the light guides 41, 42, 43 to a case 20 to separately hold and secure the light guides in the case 20, and connecting parts 44, 45 are formed in a thin and curved shape to make them easily deformable. This suppresses the influence of a tractive force acting between the light guides in thermal shrinkage, and the displacement of each light guide 41, 42, 43 relative to the case 20 is made smaller than the value of the total length of the light guide multiplied by the natural thermal shrinkage ratio of the material in the prior art. This can prevent such trouble that second through-holes 41a, 42a, 43a would contact shafts 61a, 62a, 63a to block the shafts from smoothly rotating.
