PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local anesthetic preparation having no problem of diffusion or liquid sagging when applied to the oral cavity and enabling local anesthetic treatment to be secured. SOLUTION: This local anesthetic preparation in the form of an aerosol preparation comprises a composition and a propellant; wherein the composition is a foam-forming locally anesthetic composition for application to the oral cavity and comprises (1) a local anesthetic such as lidocaine (2) a nonionic surfactant such as polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil, (3) a thickening agent such as xanthan gum and (4) water.
