PURPOSE: A system for blocking and searching a harmful Internet site is provided to connect a site disconnecting unit to an internet site which supplies the information related to the harmful site so as to automatically update a list of harmful site. CONSTITUTION: An Internet site(update site,30) collects a harmful site list periodically and stores the list in a database(31), receives pre-stored version information of a harmful site list from a user computer, and compares the pre-stored version information with the current version information of the harmful site list stored in the database(31). If the current version has been upgraded, the Internet site(30) transmits an upgraded harmful site list to the user computer. An Internet network(20) connects the Internet site(30) to the user computer. A site disconnecting unit(12) is mounted in the user computer, automatically connects to the Internet site(30) periodically, and transmits version information of a harmful site list possessed currently. If the version has been upgraded, the site disconnecting unit(12) receives a harmful site list from the Internet site(30) and automatically updates the harmful site list of the user computer.
