PURPOSE: A reproduce equipment and a method for supplying bookmark information thereof are provided to support a bookmark function for enabling a user to attach comments and makes a bookmark list in one reproduce equipment be used in other reproduce equipment. CONSTITUTION: A pickup unit(20) reads predetermined data from an optical disk(200). A reproducing unit(40) reproduces contents which are read and supplied from the optical disk(200) by the pickup unit(20). The reproducing unit(40) includes a decoder for decoding AV data coded and recorded in accordance with a predetermined coding method. A control unit(30) stores bookmark information with respect to a bookmark frame executed by a user while AV data are reproduced by the reproducing unit(40) and displays the information, if necessary. The control unit(30) transmits bookmark information to other reproduce equipment or receives bookmark information from other reproduce equipment through an Internet connection unit(50). The control unit(30) records bookmark information in the optical disk(200). In the case that bookmark information is stored in the optical disk(200), the information is stored in an area having navigation information with respect to AV data. The Internet connection unit(50) is connected to the Internet for making bookmark information be transmitted to other reproduce equipment.
